Chris Pocock – Trustee
Chris worked for London Underground for 40 years in various operational roles on stations, ticket offices and signalling control. His experiences included senior management at docklands light railway where he managed 350 staff and oversaw the introduction of an innovative signalling system. Chris provides specific advice on human resource issues and has been a member of MAGIC since 2007
Roy Lee – Trustee
Coming away from a Project Manager position with BT, Roy went on to successful projects in property management before becoming involved with Monkey Bizz. Roy’s vision to expand the play centre to cater for all ages has seen it grow to encompass amongst other things a roller skating rink and gym.
Through Bizz, Roy has been involved and supported MAGIC for a number of years alongside being a member of the round table and Rochester Rotary Club where he enjoys taking on a hands on approach to giving support to locally run charities.
Claire Cooper – Trustee
Claire is a co-founder and Director of CooperDaly Solutions and Support LLP.
Claire is a qualified teacher with a BA (Hons) Humanities degree and has taught for over 20 years. Before developing and co-running the Autism Outreach Service for a Local Authority, she was the Head of Year at a large Medway secondary school. She began her teaching career at a secondary school in Kent as a Humanities teacher.
She has also been a foster carer for young people with disabilities and special needs. She continues to offer respite care to parents.
Jennifer Daly – Trustee
Jennifer is a co-founder and Director of CooperDaly Solutions and Support LLP.
After a rewarding and successful career in mainstream her passion to learn more about how to better manage herself and pupil’s with ‘challenging behaviour,’ led her to teach vulnerable pupils, with various labels attached to them in a pupil referral unit. She quickly learned the value of close collaborative team work and listening to children she worked with. As an experienced SENCO it confirmed her belief that accurate assessment and appropriate ‘labels’ enabled her to better support and plan more effectively for individuals.
Paul Thomas – Trustee
Paul has worked in retail all his career, from a Saturday job at ASDA, through to store manager there and at Sainsbury’s before moving to Harrods to head up the world famous Food Halls. In 2011 he was appointed to the role of Harrods store director. In 2014, Paul left the corporate world to set up his own retail consultancy business, where he can use his knowledge and experience to help other retailers. Paul’s strengths are in cutting through the treacle to ensure a swift and effective result. Paul’s family have been members of MAGIC since 2007.
